Welcome to the Chen research group in the Henan Polytechnic University (HPU) at Jiaozuo, Henan, China. We are interested in the frontiers at the interfaces of chemistry, materials, physics, and biology and would like to work on the questions about the strength and toughness of hydrogels and funtional polymer materials/nanocomposites (bedside to benchside) and their applications in various fields.
PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR (PI)
Principal Investigator (Associated Professor) Qiang Chen received his Bachelor degree (Chemistry) in 2004 from Henan University in China. He got his PhD degree in Polymer Chemistry and Physics in 2009 from Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) under the supervision of Prof. Pixin Wang. Since 2009, he started his independent academic career as Lecturer (2009-2012) at School of Materials Science and Engineering, Henan Polytechnic University (HPU). He joined Prof. Jie Zheng's group at the University of Akron (OH, USA) as research assistant and visiting scholar at 2012-2013. And he gone back to HPU, he was promoted as Associated Professor since 2013.
